Stator up grade

Would anybody know of a supplier that has a stator upgrade kit for the KLR. I had a web site but I lost it. I would like to pump up the electrical out put. Any help would be great. Remember smile & be happy.

You might do some more research on the upgrades, I have heard of several that have had nothing but problems with them.

2008 DL650 VStrom Yellow and Black
Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

i am also looking for a charging system upgrade.... i found this web site...

http://www.electrosport.com/street/s...reet_50100.php

maybe they have some tech support on them... i know if you go so high with the wattage you have to change your regulator rectifier.

I upgraded to a 280 watt stator to run trail lights, but it didn't really do the trick. I did not try the ElectroSport model, but the ElectroSport people have been very helpful. They were selling a 400watt model but since discontinued it.

The 400 watt model is the one that had all the problems and that's why it was discontinued. They are suppose to have a new 400w stator out soon but it hasnt' happened yet. I'm leery of anything that KLR650.com sells that isn't name brand or has the Studebaker name.

Don't be scared of klr650.com or the studebaker name for that matter. Call them if you have question's or concern's and they will be honest with you.

Why don't you poser's quit knocking them ?

The owner of another forum seems to have a hard on for several suppliers, including this one. He claims all Studebaker parts are Chinese copies. I've done business with these folks and have had no problems. Their Studebaker labeled 320 mm front brake kit I bought turned out to actually be made by EBC, and was labeled as such.
