I need a little help

Last night I removed my back tire and had a new tire put on. I put the wheel and tire back on and noticed I had forgotten a washer. Heres my dilemma, when I took the wheel/tire off I did not remember seeing the washer. I put the wheel on, spacer on the left side, axle through the wheel, the spacer on the right, and through the brake bracket. Where does that washer go?? I took everything apart again to see if the washer went between the right or left spacer, it did not seem to fit on either side. This is the second tire I have taken off and put back on, first time I'm certain I got it right the first time, but I can't for the life of me remember where the washer goes . Maybe before the castle nut on the right side?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am leaving for a 3 day/500-700 ride
tomorrow morning.

Thanks,

Mark

This schematic

looks like the only flat washer is under the castle nut. And costs like $4!
