PCV mod question

What have you guys seen as the benifit to this mod? Seems like a pretty fast cheap mod.

The other question is: Ok you are allowing the pressure from the crankcase to flow in (or vented) only one direction, away from the crankcase lowering the pressure in that area on the down stroke. Now the theory is that the piston will have less pressure to work against on the down stroke helping in less oil consumption . Right? If the volumn of air is reduced in the crankcase on the down stroke then what fills it on the upstroke? With the PCV valve installed it won't equalize through there any more. Would this one way system contribute to some seal or gasket leakes? I'm sure you don't want to create a vaccuum in there. Also there isn't any check valve in the system now wouldn't the pressure be equalized as the stock system is now? What is the advantage to the PCV valve being installed. Seems to me the pressure is getting out as it stands with the stock setup.

I know there must be an advantage here what is it?
