Klr rear shock

I have an 07 klr and the rear shock is toast . Will any other year be compatible?
Also where is a good place to look for a used one I'm just looking for a stock one

All years are compatible though the Gen2's (2008 and up) use a different lower mounting bolt. You can look for a used one on Ebay. If it gets to the point that you consider rebuilding the stock shock, I'd seriously consider replacing it with a better aftermarket shock before spending good money on the crappy stock unit. Cogent Adventure is the best value out there IMO.

Yeah, that's common; the stock emulsion shock with the non-hardened aluminum bore gets easily worn and the particles contaminate the oil increasing wear.....a vicious circle.

If you were closer I'd lend you my spare. I had two but gave one to a young guy that couldn't afford one a few months back.

I have a stock rear shock from Tom. PM me if you're interested. It was given to me and I don't aim to profit off the kindness of the KLR community.

Can I find it? That's a different story (my wife probably can).
