Question Doohickey Springs

John D I ordered a Doo and torsion spring for my 05 yesterday, after thinking about spring choice I wondered if I should use the coil type? I am new to the site and a great site I might add,I would appreciate a view from experience.

The torsion spring is the way to go. The coils are great, but over time will eventually loose tension, the torsion won't. Wish I had done the torsion when I did mine last year.

Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

DXKLR, Thanks for the insite. With 12,600 on the 05 I might be pushing the limit. I only want to change the doo once, without concern about future trouble. Thanks, JOHN D.
