16t sprocket for klr jr (250)

I put on a 16 tooth counter shaft sprocket on my klr 250 today. It seems to do well and cruising at 70 mph is a breeze at 7000 rpm...that's about 900 rpm lower than before. I am pleased with it. Has anyone else done this?

KLR 650. 22c mod., 160 main jet, snorkel removed, Vance and Hines pipe, crankcase vent mod., PCV mod. removed. 16t and 42t sprockets. Rotella.

well..it redlines at about 9,500 rpm..so 7,000 isn't excessive...not for a 250 at least.

I added mini turn signals to replace the broken originals today. The make a big difference in the appearance of the bike...it looks even more like a dirt bike with signals now. I also took the baffle out of the pipe, adjusted the carb, and shortened the snorkel (I had taken it out, but it was too loud).
