New to the forum!

Newb here...

Just bought a 2001, that is mostly stock. Rode it once or twice and realized it needs some mods. Based on what I've been reading here and my own short experience, the KLR is a good bike, but can be great with all the right mods. I ordered a few things from KLR.com, but a some of those items are on back order, although they were not listed as such. The two things that are a must do now are the doo and the oversized brake rotor - both back ordered. The brake rotor special is a really good deal, so I'm not complaining too much...
Any of you guys experience this and how long did it take?

Glad to join the ranks!!

Welcome Shayes1202. I second the recommendation that willys said about Eagle Mike's stuff. He makes great quality stuff.

Cancel where you got the doohickey from and order it from Eagle Mike. Way better quality and he more than likely has it in stock since he makes it.

His number is 619-261-1281 or you can email him at [email protected]. I also think you can do a search on this forum for eaglemike. He is a guru on this and other forums.

I would cancel the brake rotor too. They sell a knock-off of the ebc 320mm. I would shop at TPI, even then make sure you know what you are getting and you get what you pay for.
