1997 Front wheel hub

I have a 1997 KLR 650. My front wheel hub is bad, and I need to replace it (also the speed sensor, but that isn't a huge deal).
I've been searching for hours, and have not found a lot of options. I have only found a hub for around $500 and that is insane. What are my options to fix or replace the front wheel/ wheel hub?

I see there are different thicknesses of brake calipers. Labor and ingenuity is not an issue here. I am in working and living in central america. The mechanics are top notch, and rebuild most things that we normally replace in the U.S. So, basically mixing and matching parts is fine.

But what are my options?

Not much help to you, I fear, but . . . I'd look for a USED Generation 1 ('86 to 2007) wheel . . . motorcycle "dismantlers" (aka, junk yards) should have 'em; you can put up, "WTB" (Want To Buy) posts on motorcycle websites . . . like this one, and ADV (AdventureMotorcycle.com) , and . . . maybe even KLR650.net!
