jetting question

My 07 was jetted for the elevation at stone mountain ga and ran perfect on the test drive. I get it home and notice the rpms are hanging. If I shift at 3krpms it stays their a second or 2 before coming down. The bike has a fmf powerbomb header and fmf pipe with a 142 main. Is that sufficient with the airbox mod and uni filter at sea level? The mixture screw was at 2.25 turns so I adjusted it to 2.5 and seems to run better but I noticed some popping on decel that wasn't their before. It has the jet kit from eagle mikes.

All aftermarket silencers will exhibit more deceleration afterfire or popping. But one should check to be sure you haven't loosened or worse lost one or both header nuts. This allows outside air into the exhaust, which causes the trailing throttle mixture to ignite in the header, Pop, pop, Pop!

Loose or lost header nut will allow the copper header gasket to burn out. I'll suggest you purchase one, they are 1 time use item. Anti-seize grease on the threads & 15 ft lbs torque Maximum.

Your jetting should be perfectly fine.

Pulled the jets and the pilot was clogged along with some of the holes in the main jet holder. Got it cleaned up and shes running perfect.
