Street tire

Hello all
I signed up to ask one specific question.
I'm going on a 20,000kms (approximately 12,000 mile) trip, almost exclusively on paved roads. I'll be doing this in about 13 days so there will lots of heat in the tires (and most likely a very sore rear end for me).
A previous trip (5,000kms in 4 days) on Heidleburg (sp?) resulted in the rear profile becoming very flat and slightly unstable in corners
After reading though many threads, I'm still not sure what my best option is for the longest wearing tires for such a trip. If possible, I'd like to pull into my driveway just as the rear tire tears itself to pieces just to see if it can be done on one set of tires

So - what is/are my best options?

Unless there are lots of corners or you purposely zig-zag a lot on the boring straightaways, all rear motorcycle tires will 'square-off'.

I live in the least populated state in the lower 48, so very little traffic compared to many others.
Therefore I can practice my collision avoidance / evasive maneuvers for many miles at a time if I so choose, even around many corners.

Consider that your Minimum tire pressure (regardless of brand & model) should be 34 Front & 32 Rear and tire heat should not be any problem.

Ride Safe!

Modify at "YOUR OWN RISK"!

Useless tidbit. Didn't know where to put it. Decided that the shortest thread that mentions the K761 wins.

The rear K761's center sipe disappears at about 5,000 miles. I have just over 5k on my rear and I can see just a ghostly image of where the sipe once was.

Heidenau Scout K60.

The widest rear tire has continuous center tread.

Lower-cost option?

Continental Trail Attack II.
