We didn't get the C model in the States. There were some in Canada. We didn't get many Tengai, either. Both are pretty rare over here, so information is scarce, expecially on questions like this.

I believe that the main frame is the same, so the tank would probably fit (yours mounts with two pucks on the frame that are captured by two cavities on the tank, then bolted at the back to the frame, right?). Good chance that the tank would fit, but I am sure the plastics wouldn't fit and I kind of doubt that the seat would, either. The rear sub-frame is different, so I'm not sure if a Tengai seat would fit the C model.

Don't give up hope on getting a better answer here, but you might also want to ask the question here: KAWASAKI KLR Forum :: Index. It's a small forum, but there are some very knowledgeable folks there. I drop in from time to time, but don't post much; I just read some of the interesting posts they have.

Tsch!

thanks for your reply

is it perhaps possible to "bend" the normal klr 650 seat in a way, that the part on the front fits into the the tengai tank?

I don't know. I guess anything is possible and with the application of enough heat, maybe the seat pan could be altered.
