I just changed tires and used the Motion Pro tire iron/axle wrench. They are light and they work great. Only problem is, they are made for pre-08 KLRs as the 09 I have uses a smaller front axle nut and a larger rear axle nut. They were $30 ea, but I think they would be good to have when leaving home (I just they would fit my bike!)

Thanks for the info. Exactly what irons do you use? Are they the spoon type? I see the Motion Pro with a spoon on one end and the "rounded handle" on the other. They are 16" long. Are these the ones your talkin about?

They say a front tube will work temporarily as a rear tube to get you out of trouble if your looking to save some space and only carry 1 tube. Tubes can suck up the space quick.

Yeah I just wanted a tube to get me out of the woods should I need one.

I see what your talkin about with the Motion Pro now. That's a great idea but I think I already have the wrench in the tool kit. Maybe not I'll have to check. If not getting two with different wrenches is an option.

FYI... you want 3 tire irons to make things work much smoother. A tire buddy wouldn't hurt either.
