Question 140/80-17 Mitas E07 on KLR ?

Can I fit a 140/80 17 on my 2007 KLR 650 instead of the 130/80 17 I have fitted or will it rub? What would be the benefits of the wider tire beside the looks?
I am going to replace my Bridstone Trailwings with a Mitas E07 rear and a Continental TKC 80 front but I am not sure if I should/could go wider or not...

It should fit but you may have to trim the chain guard and space the muffler out.

Ja it did rub quite a bit. Did not feel to cut the chain guard as I just fitted it (old one was ripped to shreds). So the 130 went on.
