How often should I lube my chain? And should each time the chain be completely cleaned before re-lubing? And what is recommend for chain lube?

Bel Ray is one of the best on the market. Chain wax is great stuff too.

Since I like tinkering it's a lil' different. I use gear oil once or twice a week
and wipe off the rim just as often. I just keep that sucker wet. LOL
With the scooter on the stand and free rollin' the wheel it's easy to clean
and relube the chain while doing a smoke and some tunes. Tinkering is
almost as fun as riding. Sanity maintenance with 6 kids, two dogs,
two cats, and a wife that requires servicing quite often. Did I mention
the 6 kids? LOLOLOLOL

Send a message via MSN to Cabron
I follow Paul Germanos's directions to the letter and have never had a problem.

Not to hijack the thread, but Bass, I find there's a lot of truth in your "sanity maintenance" comment. Out of swimming, yoga, and working on my bike, I find the latter gets me into a tranquil mindset the fastest. Even with Black Sabbath playing.
