Aftermarket rear rack?

Hello,

I have a Rigid tall box mounted to my 2006 which I mostly use to hold my jacket and gloves. I am concerned about the soft plastic eventually giving way around the bolts I put in due to the wind resistance on the tall box.

So far I cannot find a metal replacement for Gen 1. The only real part I found was the Happy Trails metal cover for the plastic rack.

IS there one and I am just bad at looking for it?

Years ago I bought mine from a seller on eBay. Don’t know if they are still available. Only other one I know about, but have no experience with is:

To the best of my knowledge and belief, CycleRacks still manufactures and markets rear racks for KLR650s (each generation) and KLR250s.

Super strong, lifetime warranty, IIRC.

Don't know if these products still available, but . . . they once marketed textile (auto convertible top material) panniers and top cases.

klr4evr's link didn't work for me; try this one:

Found a replacement for my cracking plastic rack on Amazon. Longer than the factory rack and slightly lighter: Kawasaki KLR650 ADVENTURE Series Rear Luggage Rack (87-07)
