Not DOOHICKY AGAIN

Yes, sorry everso but as I rode my lovely 06 650 I couldn't help but think how awsome it was and wondered what are the true numbers on that Doodoo failure?
Anyone? Not all at once please....
I have a few friends who have had several 650s and never had a problem.
I know it happens but does anyone know if these are on bikes that never had it adjusted? Or were abused??
Again, sorry.
My next post will be about oil.....and perhaps 9mm Full metal jacket ammo for self defense.
That should keep my mail box hot.

Take a look at this poll and read some of the posts. Springs have been found broken with as little as 1000 miles. Mine was already broken at 5000 miles w/o ever fussing with it.

08+ models the spring is too long.

I've seen 3 broken, out of 8 bikes and none had 5,000 miles on them.

My favorite oil is Olive Oil, and I actually use .380 Speer Gold Dots..

Exactly!! $40 to assure that your engine won't grenade.. It was the cheapest Peace of Mind that I've ever purchased for a motorcycle..

Not another Doo thread11 There is enough documented info available to make this an absolutely no brainer. Trying to convince the nay sayers is just a waste of time. If you are too cheap to Doo it then live with the consequences but don't come crying about it later.

Thanks for the feed back. I've been a ramblin man but never a gamblin man......BUT I still have until 2011 on my warranty. I'll probably just get the thermodapterator and wait.
For a laugh I'll also contact Kawa and tell them they will owe me a new motor if mine fails......then wish then a merry Christmas.

My 06 doo was broken in 3 pieces, had to open up the other side to retrieve the smaller pieces from the oil screen.

Yeah, a buddy helped me change it out. Not something I was willing to do alone since I'm somewhat mechanically challenged. He also synced the timing chain and helped with the valve shims. Amazing to watch somebody make all this stuff look so trivial. Yeah everything is fine even though it was broken. Kawi ignores it because when you consider the amount of people online reporting the issue, the numbers are simply irrelevant to the number of KLR's sold.
