no power anywhere

I decided to hook up the blinkers , aftermarket, anyway in the main fuse box ( two fuses under the seat) Isaew some smoke and I pulled the positive cable off, but I have no spark, nothing goes on on the dash ,,nautral , high ,, low beam ,, notha,, what the hell happened, thanks in advance Scott,, oh no need to reply to my thread about lights dimming, all the blinkers are in the garbage,,

Oh , I forgot, to ad that it was the white wire that got real hot, but thats all I know , and I have no power to anything,, thanks again Scott

The KLR uses the ground on the switch side... not the Positive...

Pull off everything you have put on... replace the fuses. and tell us what happens. I havent looked at the wiring Diagrahm in awhile. I guess I should before I open my fat mouth..

Its me again, a while ago I put in my own starter button , the original one did'nt work, when I hook the battery up I still have no lights ,or neutral indicator ,, nothing, so I think I may have fried the regulator ?? Does that make sense , all the wires that travel to the regulator look as tho they go to ,then come out of it, then to the rest of the bike,, any electric wizards around ????

Did you try repalcing the fuses?

Yes replaced both the light , and the main fuse, still nothing , I checked and it looks like everything runs thru thr rectifier, any comments ,thanks Scott
