Anybody got an FMF Q4 ???

Snatched an FMF Q4 off of ebay and am wondering if anyone has one. Is it worth it to buy the header pipe for it, other than it'll be "purty" in stainless?

Cheers,

John (almost farkled out now)

Farkled probably WAY too much, but good 20' footer for sure. '96 KLR, '06 HD VROD, (girl friend hauler), '05 HD Electra-Glide, heh it's a HD and I'm old now ;-) and I'm proud of riding a 800+ pound bike at my age :-)

Oh, the many times I've said that.

Other than Ebay, what is the best site to get a variety of parts for the KLR? Like mufflers, handle bars, clutch/brake levers, etc.

"John (almost farkled out now)" - that is pretty funny, huh? John, there's this bug that's gonna bite ya.

On the header - my vote would be "no".

The 08+ have a stainless header. Mine turned crappy looking pretty quickly. That may be a function of the type of stainless and the fact that it was not polished from the start. Dunno.

With the configuration of the KLR you can't really see much of the header, anyway.

Jeepers, there's quite a few. I'm sure I'll not do the list justice, but here goes.

Just got my FMF Q4 from the big brown truck. Wouldn't have bought it other than that always typing KLR into the ebay search and selecting ending soonest, damn it! Actually I got it from a dealer and it was less than 1/2 price so what the heck, another Farkle. I'm going to take video/audio of the stocker and put it on tonight, weigh both of them, etc.

John (surely NOW my KLR will be as fast as that one in TX that does "the ton" ;-)

I've had really good luck with Happy Trails. You need to check them ALL out as they have different solutions for the same problems (or maybe solutions looking for problems) but it's fun and somewhat inexpensive to Farkle your KLR. I know searching the web has kept me out of the bars on many a cold winter night this year!
