This is good information.
My 2005 went from Gripsters to Distanzias. Both are good tire though expensive in comparison but they do sell a radial rear tire.
My 2003 has had Michelin T63s ($110 per pair) for 1,200+ miles and they are good but not a tire that fits 90% of the riding I do. Excellent well priced 50/50 tire. I nicknamed them BUZZ.
My next pair of tires was going to be the 705s, and they still might be, but the Kenda 761 sounds like a good performing tire, very well priced and has good following. Probably can't gp wrong with this tire.
Michelin Anakees could be tossed into the discussion but they price themselves out of the contest.
If I had to by a pair today I would favor SLO's choice. I have heard that Yokahama was purchased by Shinko and that would be a good thing for Shinko. My only concern is I have heard the 705 is being re-compounded, which way I do not know. SW Moto Tires does not have any 705s in stock and have not had any for 90 days. Does anyone have the build dates on the 705 tires? Luckily I am not changing tires until after NorCal Tech Daze.
