carb problem

not a good mech. how difficult is the carb to remove to clean. bike runs at idle but dies when i give it gas

I would try running some SeaFoam through it first. You can get it at most auto parts stores and some hardware stores. It is truly a miraculous cleaner. I'd dump a whole can in with a full tank and run the bike and see what happens. It does wonders. You might save yourself some busted knuckles.

what condition,,,year is the bike? Im with lockjaw on the sea foam,that stuff is great,,I even put some in my 95 F-150,,cleaned the injectors quite well. Runs much better.

What about air filter,,,clean??? may be float is stuck in carb,,slide tube in carb sticking?
