5 minute job….

Is it just me???
Every time I try to do a 5 minute job, its turns into a 2 week F&^%$* nightmare….. EEEERRRR

I started Monday night on the .22 cent mod. Anticipating the fun ride Tuesday morning with my new found power…. Sure Enough.. an hour into this “colostomy bag” and I had 2 of the 4 screws that hold the carb bowl on striped clean.
Now its Friday and the bike is completely torn down…

I think the name should be the “0.22 cent complete restoration”

I find myself laughing, mainly because I relate so well with your situation. Some people have it and the rest of us keep trying to acquire it! Good luck!

I figure with the tank off this would be a good time to “Power wash the motor” This will make the bike look new and I definitely do not want to pass up the opportunity of hosing down all of the electrical components with water so the bike want start for a week….. We will see how ambitious I am later.

Most people don't realize that the Japanese have a slightly different type of crosshead screwdriver. that's why our phillips head tool always strips out their screwtops.

Funny, but I'm serious. Their called Japanese industrial standard. You can get a set of 4 sizes for around 18-24 bucks.
