Feeler Gauge For Valve Clearance Check

I'm going to be checking my valve clearances this Winter and have never done it before so it's unfamiliar territory.

My set of feeler gauges has seen better days and it's time for some new ones.

When checking the valves, would I be better off with a set with straight blades or those blades that are angled? Or does it make a difference at all?

planalp-

I have always used the straight ones and wished I had the angled ones.

Seems that everytime I'm at Sears it slips my mind to pick up a set.

I would go with the angled ones.

Sounds like good advice to me. Thanks. I'll get the angled ones.
