Here are a couple of web sites you can check out. Happy trails offer their own crash bars and sport tour still advertize the sw motech bars. I am sure they will ship. http://www.happy-trail.com/ and http://www.sporttour.com

For my money, I would go with the HT bars. I had the givis, and they didn't do too much good in the only get off I've had. They might have helped minimize the damage, but I was still left with a twisted, leaking rad, broken fairing, and bent Givis after an (unimpressive) fairly low speed drop in sand. For the first year I had them, I was quite happy. They added a little vibration @ 3500rpm, but they also gave me a somewhat comfortable spot to rest my legs while on the freeway.

Honestly, instead of more crash bars, I'm leaning toward the Safari or IMS fuel tank once released. The older tanks seem to do a decent job protecting things, and Safari says the SW-Motechs will fit with their tank.

BTW, I've had good luck dealing with Sport Tour several times in the past.

I have the HT crash bars and highway pegs and I like them. I've had 3 get-offs (all dirt and fairly low speed) and they've done an excellent job of protecting my bike. No damage to the bars or the bike.

Maybe I'm riding in the wrong places; there's rarely an off-road adventure that doesn't see me have at least one get-off! I have fun, but the KLR shows some wear, nerf bars notwithstanding.

Most of my riding is on sand or better roads at 30+ mph. If I crash often, it is not going to do much good for anything. I have a KTM for banging into trees and falling over off road. I'd like to be willing to do that with the KLR, but when the KTM falls, nothing usually breaks, and I'm on my way. If I bust a tank/rad shroud, I'm only out $40--not $100+. Falls happen in the dirt, but the KLR doesn't go where the KTM does.

Here's LJ's bike with the SW Motechs. Mark doesn't need crash bars because he never falls over...

And here's some other asshat's bike with the Happy Trail nerf bars:
