Engine Crash bars

I'm looking at buying some crash bars and I see there's the SW Motechs and the P D Nerfs anybody favor one or another ? And is that the only two choices ?

SW Motech crash bars, centerstand and luggage racks on my 2007 KLR. I truly feel good with them on the bike. They are rock solid and really pqrotect both the rider and the bike. The bonus is the luggage rack is removable, simply and fast.

I have the Happy Trail bars. The center bar is tweeeked and needs replacing. I understand that the new center cross bar is much stronger so it should be good to go on a new purchase.

I got the motech. Bike has been down twice. Once, I biffed and somehow broke the cowl, but the bars did their job. Recently, so a-hole knocked my bike over. Bent a little, but no damage. And that 08 plastic is brittle shit.

I figure they are both good. I liked the way the motechs looked.

I have scraped the bars in a tight turn with a little front brake, so the bulkiness is food for thought.

I have the HT bars and they are definitely worth the money. I went down right on a rock after being run off the road by some kids in a pickup a few months back and it was a hard enough hit to tweek the center bar and even the highway bar, but not a scratch on the plastics.

Both products do their jobs so pic which ever you like the looks of and put on.

Givi because with them mounted you don't need to add highway pegs
