Next Farkle on

Got my next farkle on this evening,, didn't have much time today as my club hosted the high powered league today,, but came home, ate dinner, and ran out to install my SW-Motec center stand.

Let me say this,, this stand was very well thought out, and welds were beautiful, (lets see how strong they are), install was a no brainer, replace six bolts, (both foot pegs) the left side pass peg, install brackets, springs and assist handle, and you are done. Getting it up on the stand is easy, every-bit as easy as my ST1100, (which had a buit in folding assist handle) and bike seems VERY stable while on the stand. The only "bad" thing is the fact in order to have the foot assist,, you have to put the side stand down to deploy the center stand, and have to fold the center stand BEFORE the side stand. No real biggie to me.

Yep, that was the first farkle for me. It sure came in handy when I had to fix a flat front tire miles away from home and it goes without saying that chain lubing is just too easy.

Mine is in the mail as we speak. I can't believe I waited 4 years to get it. Just doing the chain once will pay it off and not have to get my buddy to push my bike while I chase it and spray the chain....

No kidding. You make me feel guilty. The bottom half of mine looks like a piece of coal-mining equipment. The other day my wife's Little White Dog ran under it and emerged out the other side with a 2-inch wide strip of gray/black grease and oil on the top of her head and down her back. It wouldn't come out so my wife had to get out her grooming clippers and trim it off. It didn't go over very well when I joked that there was no need to lube the clippers this time when she was finished. I probably really should clean it because if I had some kind of leak, I'd never know it.

Nice stand. I'm sure it will come in handy.

Have that same one that I bought used from a forum member (other forum). He hated it! Said the bolts came loose and stripped his peg holes. I put it on with new bolts and never looked back. Great product.
