Kawasaki sells paper service manuals. KLR600 Kawasaki service manual and KLR650 supplement were standard throughout Generation 1 (through 2007 model year).

Besides the Kawasaki Generation 2 KLR650 service manual, Clymer publishes one for Generation 2s as well, if I'm not mistaken. Clymer also has a Generation 1 KLR650 service manual.

Yes - I have the manual that comes with the Motorcycle. I was checking for a word-searchable *.pdf file. no problem. thanks. I have my sights on adding the Clymer though to have the hard-copy.

I'd just get the Clymer; it's an easier read for most people

Holly Mackerel, Damocles!
That guy basically paid double of the OEM MSRP for that service manual (according to his statement) and hopes to re-sell at new MSRP.

Worse YET, that is the 1st Edition of the Gen 2 manual with Many, Many Torque Spec ERRORS in it!
In my opinion that manual is worth $20 Max. And the buyer better do some research.

Has anyone over there pointed this out?

Thanks for the clarification, pdwestman!

When I saw the asking price, I thought: "Man, this is INFLATION (remembering my own purchase of factory Service Manuals some years ago)!"

Don't know if anyone has pointed out the excessive price yet; tell me the MSRP and I will, if no one has yet.

The real deal from repairmanual.com about two years ago.

Product Quantity Price
2008-2015 Kawasaki KL650E KLR650 Service Manual (#99924-1384-09)
1 $62.00
Subtotal: $62.00
Shipping: $7.10 via USPS Priority Mail
Payment Method: PayPal
Total: $69.10

I think the -01 manual was similarly priced back in '08.

I have found it interesting that people will spend thousands on a motorcycle, yet don't like the idea of dropping $75 on a decent manual for it. I guess the Clymers are about $35, no?

I guess FaceBook has taken over these functions, where total strangers can be asked "Cn u tll mi wut tork spec for rr axl is its 2005"

ADV website readership now informed of prevailing service manual pricing!

Oh, yes; one small detail: The Generation 1 factory service manual was a two-volume unit; the BASE manual (KLR600), and the KLR650 Supplement.
