Chain and sprocket replacement

Where is the best place to buy replacement chain and sprockets? I run a 16 tooth front with stock rear, somewhere I saw a kit with sprockets , chain, and breaker tool but I don't remember where it was. I'm getting to 21,000 miles and I'm thinking the original chain is about whipped. Remember cheap is good!!!!

Hard to argue with the Primary Drive price, but I just picked up a spare set from TPI. A little more money, but brand name chain and sprockets. Also alternative front sprockets are in the mix, although at the price of the RMATV setup, you'd have money leftover for a different sprocket.

I've heard/ read that the stock Tsubaki 520 o-ring is
a great chain. I believe stock sprockets are SunStar.

We can avoid Kawi pricing by ordering direct, or
like the Rocky Mtn thing get 'em under retail.

i just got a new set from TPI - they have a deal going on where they will upgrade to a nicer chain. think the whole setup was just over a hundred bucks - chain, two sprockets, and axle nut.

I looked up the chain/sprocket set you linked to. They say that the kit is a 15/43. I can also get a 16/43. Has anyone run either of these setups?

I, too, am running 90+% on the interstate, so I'm looking to reduce rpms at highway speeds.

Sure I use Primary Drive chains and sprockets on my KLR and dirt bikes, no problems. I get about 20k miles per set on the KLR. I use a 16/43 and ride mostly highway miles. The 16 knocks about 400 rpm off @ 60-65 mph.

16/42 or 16/43...is there really a difference?

43/16 - 42/16 = 0.0625

2.6875 - 2.6250 = 0.0625
