Google "Terry Adcox seat" - Terry builds all kinds of custom seats for KLR.

What kind of riding do you do? Are you thinking something along the lines of "more cushioned stock seat" or a "touring" seat like a Russell Day Long?

You might want to enter "seat" in this site's Search function: you'll find all kinds of options and opinions from folks who have tried out different brands or have modded the stock seat.

You'll be hard pressed to find a more comfortable seat than the Russell Day Long.. Here's a few photos of mine.. Some find them very ugly.. I don't notice since I don't have to get off of it..

Seat Concepts?

Another idea is seatconcepts.com. The seat is wider and has more support, but is not as wide as the Russell. They offer firmer foam for bigger guys.

I have one on my '08 and love it.

The rider section is 40cm x 40cm, and the passenger section is 25cm x 20cm..

I took the measurements for Jock Adams, down in Australia, while on another forum.. Jock's a member here, now..

That seat is the cadilac of seats.....as long as you don't like to move around on the seat. If so, I'd be looking at the Corbin flat and use a sheepskin over it.

OR, if you have any talent and want to try and make your own.....it isn't that hard once you get started except the covering of it. Then it's a trip to the seat shop. I copied a Corbin Flat and it is the best seat I have come across for long distance riding. I can ride all day and not think of my arse. If you can enjoy riding without thinking of how much your arse is hurting, then it's job done.
We are all different as what we need in a seat to be comfortable. It took me many hours of sitting and molding to get it perfect. There is a reason the best seats cost what they do......they are well made and have spent the time to get it right. Plus that Russell, don't they ask you to give them a pic of you sitting on your bike so they can figure out exactly where to build the bucket into the seat?

IF, you can afford one and don't like to constantly move around....IMHO...they are the best seat bar none.......
