Temp gauge not working

Hey Guys

The needle on my temperature gauge never moves off zero. I know that the engine is getting to correct temp (laser gun) so what gives I wonder? I really don't know where to start looking.

Have any of you had this happen and if so what did you have to do to fix it?

The first thing I would do is check the connection under the tank in the area of the spark plug. Mine quit working and this is where the problems was. You have to remove the tank to get to the wire. Once the tank is off, you will see what I am writing about.

Then that's where I will start looking. I am guessing that the issue is from the sending unit itself or perhaps a ground somewhere.

The guy that I bought my bike from had installed a Termo-Bob and I was not sure if that might have been the issue, but it appears not to be the case.

Thanks for the reply. I will let you know what the fix was.
