D606 vs Mefo stone master

Looking at putting on new tires. I can get the Dunlop D606's and the Mefo stone masters for the same price, $90 something, special on the Mefo's. Which one should I get?

D606 Mefo

If your running mostly dirt go for the 606's. If your off roading is less aggressive and you frequent the blacktop go for the Mefos. Both excellent tires from what I have heard.

The Mefo that I am looking at is the stone masters with also very aggressive knobbies.

Oops! Sorry, I missed that in the title... I thought you were talking about the Explorers

I'd be sorely tempted to try out the Stone Masters in that case, I've heard lots of good things about them! Plus, they're usually big $$$

Edit: Heck, I missed it in the first post as well! As soon as I saw Mefo I thought of the more dual sport Explorers... Doesn't Colebatch of ADV fame swear by the Stone Masters? Or he used to anyway...

Nice! Good call for the price! You can get the 606's anytime, but you rarely see that good of a deal on the Mefo's

That's one wicked-looking DOT knobby. Bears a striking resemblance to these things:

Hi massklr!
Could you tell us where you found the Stonemaster at this price? When I was looking at them they were twice that price! I ended up going with the Pirelli MT21 for $99 because the stonemaster was so much.
