I've read talk of the KLR needing a fork brace but never really noticed much flex until I installed a 19" front wheel. The wheel is heavier than the 21" and the tire has a wider footprint. It takes a bit more input on the bars to tip the bike in for a turn now. The front has a more planted feeling also leading to more agressive cornering on my part
so yea I could feel the flex.
Thought I would try a brace so installed the Eagle Mike. Whoa, the bike is on rails now. Even straight line tracking is better. Makes me wonder what the bike would have felt like with the 21" front.
It really is a very noticable improvement for the Gen 2 forks.
