2008 lost all power

Hit a mild bump on freeway lost all power. No nothing...I had it towed home. Was wondering if any ideals as I am thinking ideals. Plus- if this happens again can you push start a bike with no power. Thank you

Since you say you hit a bump and lost power I'd look at the sidestand switch first. Also there was a wiring recall on this model, has that been done? Or possibly something in the battery shook loose.

It's my understanding the "08+ can be push started on a weak battery but not a dead one.

Gray-haired riders donít get that way from pure luck.

Wiring harness would be my guess. The bump caused the tank to pinch the harness.

Read through this thread: 08 Electrical problem

The Gen 2 will not push start with a dead battery. Damocles will be along to explain pretty soon no doubt.

Just a reminder: Since it is a KLR, after all, it really didn't have any power to start with.

Let us know what you turn up.
