Top Gun Shock Rebuild???

Anybody have it done?? I am seriously thinkin of it, just gotta get another bike up and goin before I take my klr out of service. I am gonna get the heavy spring bein that I'm 6ft 270lbs, and have large ammo cans for side bags. Does the price include all parts needed?? Return shipping?? Do they set the shock up to ride on setting 1?? How long does it take?? Very interested in any information. I also plan on gettin their front springs too, eventually.

I engaged in an email conversation with them this past Winter, but never got a chance to follow through with this project. Just write them with any questions you may have. They'll answer you promptly.

If I recall correctly, prices are spelled out on the web site and are straightforward. You pay to send the shock to them they pay to send it back. They even tell you what Priority Mail boxes you can pick up at the post office and how to pack it the way they prefer. At the time I contacted them, they said I would get mine back about a week after they received it.

I'm still planning on doing this one of these days.

I got the impression that they're "good people." I've never heard any complaints about them or their services. I'm hoping to get this done this off-season. My shock seems fine, but if I'm going to send it to them, I'm going to go ahead and just get the shock rebuild done at the same time.

I finally got it done. It only took a week round trip. Total price was $219.50 with return shipping. I don't have it installed yet, waiting on swing arm bearings, but it looks great. I did end up getting the heavy spring, I'm very excited to ride it. From what I understand they do set it up for riding on setting 1. Customer service was great, stayed in contact with every step of the way.
