Water crossing/snorkel

So I guess the first question is, where is the air intake on a 2011 KLR?
Has anyone built a snorkel for your KLR?

Planning a trip and it could have a few crazy water crossings and wanted to be ready.
If you have made one please post a pic and/or if you have a pic of you doing a extreme water crossing please post.

Intake is under the seat. I think if the water got that high you would have other problems.

"It's a friggen motorcycle, it's not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The wind noise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you shit your pants every now and then. "

+ 1!

If you're gonna fabricate a snorkel, be sure you include the carb vent hose along with the air intake!

Just for Clarity, the factory air intake is Under the Upper rear edge of the LH side panel.

It would be safer to Walk the water crossing First, than risk Drowning the whole bike.
How many Quarts of Oil do you wish to carry, in-case of Error?
