Pipe, Airfilter and Jet kit all in one.

Heard one of these pipes Monday, they sound Great!! For wheel standing power, you will have to put a smaller sprocket on the front or a larger one on the rear, the pipe and jet alone won't get you what you are wanting.

2008 DL650 VStrom Yellow and Black
Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

Search for the 22 cent mod. Exhaust systems won't do much but make it louder. If you want to wheelie your KLR but can't, you need to work on your technique.

Hmmm, maybe one of these:

If you did any reading on the KLR before you bought it then you'd know that it's no speed demon, while you may coax a little more speed out of it, if it's "way too slow" then you will probably be disappointed in any speed mods.

I think the OP is not really clear about the whole KLR thing.

If it's running like a razz... you sure you didn't buy a razz?? Any KLR is way faster then a moped.

I have yet to see any mods do much to make them faster, but as mentioned you can make them a little more responsive.

I guess some of the major engine overhauls have gained some ground, but now your talkin $$$.

For the $300 you'd spend on that pipe kit, I'd spend the same $300 and go with the 685 kit.

heres the thing,,,,i had a 1990 klr 650 ,,,and it was about 100 mph flat,,,and had real nice low end ,,,no clutch involved in 2nd gear to stand up and go,,,,so i sold my zx12r 3 months ago and figure i want something fun and comfortable to cruise and hit the dirt when i feel the need,,,,i need to wake the poor little thing up,,,there is no reason it should be this slow,,,,its a 650 but runs like a 250

Well, it might get better as it breaks in, but chances are you're not going to be happy...

As I've told people before who were looking for more speed/power out of a KLR (or any slower bike not made for speed/power).. If you want a fast bike, the easiest way to get one is to buy a fast bike..

Good luck with the performance quest. I hope you find what you're after, and then tell us how and what you did!!!

Not sure whats up with your klr but mine runs just fine, and she is about to turn 1000 miles on the odometer so the I can start having more fun with her as soon as the breakin is done, revs above 4000 rpms before 500 miles is a bad thing, after 500 to 1000 not above 5000 rpm's, I am at 750 feet elevation so that might make a differance in performance, whats the miles on the bike and elevation where you are?
