Cool Boneheaded Mistake

Typically Sunday is my time for checking out the bike and to do whatever else needs to be done. Well I was at the races all day and I didn't get to checking out the bike. That was a mistake. Just as I exited the Highway on my way to work the bolt that holds the exhaust in place, the one that would have been tightened and locktite applied had I checked out the bike like I was supposed to, that bolt ceased to exist and the exhaust came off. I pulled over and finished removing it and tied it to the rack on the back, after it cooled a bit and continued to work which was less then a mile away.

So it looks like my lunch hour is going to be spent figuring out a way to reattach the exhaust for the commute home and then fix it right.

There was a recall on my bike for that (2005)...

Never went, just ensured that the bolts were tight.

good luck
