could someone tell me how to adjust the headlights

on my 2008 650 KLR? they point up way to much and the little manual say`s nothing about how to adjust, just say`s go to the $$dealer. I think with a little bit of help I could do it myself. thanks in advance.

Pry bar or hammer? Maybe your first off road oops will fix them? LOL There may be adjustment screws inside the cowling on the 08'. I don't remember seeing any on my 06'.
Here's a schematic from Bike Bandit, but I don't see any adjustment screws.

You have to remove the two front fairings on the 08 model to access the adjusting screws (one on the left and right of the light fitting). Please note that I have not adjusted mine as yet, but I noticed them when I was fixing the front indicators. It looks like you have to adjust the screws at the same time, otherwise the whole inner shell will go scew)

(Oh, and good luck removing the inner-upper screws holding the fairings in place...)

NO!!!

All you have to do is remove the 4 screws holding the windshield on and you will see the adjustment screws. Actually, there are 2 but the one on top that you will see is the one you will adjust up and down, as a pair. The one further down adjusts left and right, as a pair. Some have claimed a third that adjust the distance between low and high beam. I've had the entire front off and mine must have missed that along with the 6th gear.
