Who has good stories about their '08 KLRs?

I have owned my '08 KLR since last Aug. I've had a few problems but overall I love my '08. I would just like to hear some people bragging.

New 08

Last bike was a older Goldwing, my 1st ride on the KLR was an eye opener.
The bike lays into a turn and holds the line so well it was almost as if no counter-steering was needed. What a blast!

kawi klr650,
Hey man how do you like your highway pegs? I'm 6'1" would they still be usable? Mines green too. I am thinking about doing mine in a camo wrap. Nice pic.

Kawi KLR650,

How is that jel seat compared to the stock, and what's the need for the seat pad?

Is your bar bag a KLR bag? I have the KLR tank bag and its real nice.

klrhunter650,
The HWY pegs work okay. I am 6'-2" tall and to be more comfortable they would need to be out about a foot more. So what I do is scoot back on the seat and extend my legs out. It works but for not very long. I hope that answered your question. Sorry I didn't answer sooner, I was at the Hell's Canyon Rally this weekend.

Where you from? Just Curious.

Dakar dreamer,
The reason I have the extra pad on the gel seat because the gel seat isn't all that great plus I have a weak back and I need all the help I can get.

I do have the KLR handlebar bag. It works well and I like it. I didn't want to get the tank bag and this works well for me. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner I was at the Hell's Canyon Rally this weekend.

I used to live in Arlington Heights, Ill.
