No Start after .22 cent mod.

I just got a 09 klr and ran great, went and did the .22 mod today and now it wont start? Started for a minute then died. Now it just cranks. It is getting spark. Thanks for any help.

Did you plug the vacuum line that goes to the petcock back onto the fitting on the carb?

Also, are you CERTAIN you replaced the diaphragm precisely in it groove upon reassembling the carburetor?

A diaphragm air leak can cause grief . . .

Some use a dab of grease to hold the diaphragm in position as the mixing chamber cap is placed atop the carb, insuring an air-tight seal . . .

It was unplugged at first and though maybe that was the issue But plugged it back in and still didn't start. Also checked the diaphragm.

Open the drain on the carb a bit to see if fuel dribbles out. If it doesn't, you'll have to crank it over for a while to get fuel flowing down to the carb.

Got it going, cranked it for a bit with the choke off until it popped then pulled the choke and it fired up. Really wakes up mid range. Now for a 14t sprocket and should be ready for some dirt road riding!

OMG! I had the same issue. Waited too long to check the forum and guess what, this fixed it right away. Thanks!
