Mines been fine. Put 500 miles on the factory oil, being careful to keep it under 4K rpm, and varying throttle input when possible. Changed it to Lucas semi-synthetic for 250 miles now with no signs of useage.

I have 2700 miles on mine. Only oil it burnt was in the first 25 miles, after that none. I lost 1/2 quart in the first 25 miles, but I chalk that up to the rings seating.

Remember that most people post (not just here - this forum seems to be the exception to the rule) when there's a problem -- not when everything is going well.

The choir says "AMEN!"

My bike does not vibrate excessively. I have no starting problems. I have no stalling problems. My bike tends to run cold and only gets warm when sitting in stalled traffic. I ran the bike at low rpm for the first hundred miles. Then I changed to Rotella synthetic and started thrashing it. With 2,000 + miles on it, I do not burn any noticeable amount of oil.

And, BTW, my mirrors don't vibrate and give me a clear view of what is behind me.

However, my bike's power is not impressive above 90 mph. But I did not expect it to be.

Iíve had my 08 since last September. Now about 3200 miles later & not a drop of oil missing. Due to what Iíve heard, I check it just about before every ride and have not needed to add any yet.

BIGIRON said it best!

I'm a born again non-oil burner. 11,000 miles and uses no oil, now.

Be sure to do the PCV mod. It helps to keep it from becoming one over time. It's cheap and easy to do, so why not?
