So I crashed my 2012 KLR into a tree
Saturday and walked away with only a few bruises. Basically the Cowlings, Cowling Bracket, Headlight, fender, handlebars, and gauge cluster all need to be replaced. I believe the quickest way to getting back on the road will be with some modification.
To solve all the plastics/cowling, windscreen, and headlight issue: Fork Mounted Replacement (Acerbis or Chinese knockoff)
Protaper ATV High bars
Trailtech Vapor Gauge Cluster
And maybe an IMS 10gal tank as the white fairings are gonna stick out a bit on the new one.
I may modify the fork cowling with a windscreen depending on how bad it is.
What are the odds all of the electronics will tuck up behind that small fairing as well?
I'm open to suggestions but getting back on the road for around $250 sounds pretty awesome versus putting it back to stock for around twice that.
