Chain/Sprocket sizes

Hi, can someone here help me with a bit of info.
I'm trying to source new chain and sprockets for my 2008 KLR 650.
The dealers website in the UK only lists replacements for A & C models. Can anyone tell me if the 2004 uses the same chain/sprockets as the 2008?
Thanks!

Same-o to the best of my knowledge and belief.

Some aftermarket countershaft sprockets have offsets; I've assumed the offsets are there for a purpose and mounted them engine-side.

And the OEM front sprocket comes with a sound-deadener.

Yes. I overlooked the sound deadener. One of the many luxury items Kawasaki added to the KLR to enhance its snob appeal. Who hasn't been riding down a bumpy rock strewn dirt road with a few mud holes and sand patches thrown in and paused to think how pleasant it is to have that sound deadener on the countershaft sprocket so that you can hear the birds chirping and the leaves rustling in the breeze? Life is good.

Thanks Damocles for giving me the chance to reflect in quiet solitude on my KLR and make wisecracks. Your turn next.
