Replacement for Gripster

Well after 8k miles, my Avon Gripster rear tire is almost worn out. The front is still ok, but i may replace it too. Since they quit making the Gripster, which i really love, i have to figure out what to use next. I ride like 90% pavement, 5% fire roads, 5% single track. So what do you recommend?

I wasn't aware that it was discontinued.

Word is that they did stop making the Distanzia Supermoto.

Bummer. I wonder what they are thinking, as that was a fairly popular tire. Maybe the TrailRider is supposed to be the new hot ticket from Avon.

I have no experience with Heidenaus.

I'm sure others do and can give you their opinion.

Went to various mega stores and finally to Avon motorcycle tire site and found no results when I searched Gripster or KLR650. Time to panic. There seem to be some fronts still available but no rears that I could find. Bummer.
