Sprocket type recommendation

So with my everyday road riding I've decided to go with the 16 tooth front sprocket and replace my chain. Is there a specific name brand to go with or will any brand work?

Also I assume to go ahead and replace the rear at the same time as the chain. I considered a 42 in the rear also, but then thought it might be a little overkill, so it'll stay stock.

So Brand X or something else?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

JT, Sunstar, Primary Drive will all fit the bill. Best value these days seems to be the Primary Drive offerings from Rocky Mountain ATV.
Tom Schmitz and DPelletier like this.

"It's a friggen motorcycle, it's not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The wind noise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you shit your pants every now and then. "

Thanks for the info.
What's the difference between an O-ring and X-ring chain? Steel vs gold?

X ring is said to have less hp loss; better but either are fine. The gold plated chains resist corrosion better.....and you know; bling! LOL

Cheers,
Dave
