Dohickey sprocket shaft hole out-of-round

I am reassembling my old 2001 KLR650 motor that had a catastrophic failure. I just noticed the hole for the sprocket shaft (or whatever it is called) is out of round. I do not know if it is from wear, or from the catastrophic failure.

Is this normal? Can I still run the engine this way?

Here are some pictures. The red arc is the side that is worn. You should be able to see the shiny worn section in some pictures.
