Yes it will.
You will need to remove the complete exhaust Air Injection System (AIS) from your Gen 2 (Gen1 head doesn't have the air port, by the spark plug) and cap the vacuum nipple on your Gen2 carburetor.
The Gen 1 cylinder head needs to come with the original 4 Matching camshaft bearing caps and need to be smooth, undamaged surfaces. RH exhaust is the 1st bearing to fail, as you may already understand.
