I recently cleaned the air filter and replaced radiator fluid on my 09 KLR. I also removed the fuel tank to do some cleaning and inspection. After sitting unused for 2 weeks, the bike won't throttle up past 2000 rpm, but idles fine with and without choke. I have completely removed and cleaned the carb twice, only to run into the same issue.
Inline fuel filter. Direct flow petcock without vacuum.
Cleaned and inspected carb. Checked all lines, gaskets, diaphragms, etc. Checked exhaust for clogging or loose fittings. Tried with gas tank cap off.
Most recently, I removed my air filter and covered the air intake. The bike began to run great with throttle before it died. So it is running lean.
I am at high elevation, but it never had a jetting issue before.
At a loss for what to do from here. Suggestions?
