Inner Tube Issue

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my front tire and I'm wondering if it's just a natural thing or time to change the tube. First off I have a Shinko 244 on the front which is only 6 months old, the same goes for the tube which is an IRC heavy duty tube. Throughout the winter while the bike was parked the tube held pressure give or take a few PSI from when I put it in storage. First ride of the season was good no loss in pressure at all. The days here have gotten warmer (around 85 to 90 degrees F) and my front has dropped 10 PSI in two weeks. No signs of a leak at all.

I'm wondering if this is a normal thing when the temperatures rise, not in the tire so much but just outside ambient temperature having an effect? Should I just air it up and continue on, or go ahead and replace the tube (I bought a few extras over the winter). Also, I've done zero off road since I brought the bike out for the season. Mainly I've done commuting and a few leisure Saturday trips to get back into the swing of riding again. I haven't seen any pressure drop over the past 24 hours while it's sitting in my shed due to rain. So I'm a bit lost as to the actual issue (if there even is one). I'd just like to get some input from you guys about the matter, many of you have had your KLR a lot longer than I have so I'd be interested to hear your diagnosis or opinions.

Mine will lose a few pounds over a week or so. It's not unusual to lose some pressure. 10 pounds in a day is a slow leak that should be corrected; 5 pounds in a week, not so much.

What you might do is replace the valve in the tube, or at least reseat it. What I do is remove the valve, press on the wee button a few times, blow on it while the button is depressed, scowl at it, nod my head knowingly, put it in my mouth to get it wet, then re-install it.

If you're not a cheap sumbitch like me you can buy them at the auto parts store, four to a card with the tool, for five bucks.

However, I think that losing 5 pounds a week is pretty normal.

I also will suggest that it is most likely to be just an issue with the valve core, not fully sealing or seating.
Any tire shop or bike shop should have a few extras laying around. Very cheap to purchase if need be.

A bit of an update. I pulled the valve stem core and re-seated it and I ended up losing 2 psi over 5 days so not bad at all. I went a step further and replaced the valve stem core and haven't had a loss in psi as of yet. I appreciate the help guys and giving me a better direction to look.
