Spark arrestor

The manual recommends cleaning at 3000 miles. Anyone done this?? The bolts are frozen on mine and was wondering. Thanks

No, nobody except a few eager newbies ever try; all that will happen is that your bolts will shear off......if you do manage to get them out, nothing will ever come out of them. This is one pce of maintenance that should be ignored.

Makes us all wonder, "who the heck wrote that line" in the manuals? He ought to de-carbon his car mufflers!

Much thanks fellas, I almost sheared them which prompted the thread. Would have been easy to justify upgraded exhaust had they sheared....maybe I will give it another try.

Excellent reason to put a pipe wrench and breaker bar on them lol.
