Are all KLR slip ons interchangeable? Footpegs a common size?

Gonna swing by a large local bike salvage yard tomorrow and was gonna see what I might find. I’d like to change exhaust, pegs, bars etc. If I find a decent slip on for a good price are all years interchangeable? What about footpegs? Was gonna see if some factory MX pegs would work. Suggestions?

Don't know, but the easy way to check is just go online looking for slipons to see what yr models they fit. I do not think much has changed over the yrs concerning mufflers though.

The muffler for a KLR has not changed since 1987 as far a fitting goes. If you find a KLR with a slip-on muffler on it in a salvage yard take the muffler and the mid-pipe, leaving only the OEM header behind. It will fit.

Footpegs? Common size? Dunno. The KLR footpeg mounts haven't changed since '87, so if you find foot pegs on a KLR....

As far as 'common size' I think that the DR650 pegs fit on a KLR. No idea about other bikes.
